In 2021, Parker graduated from Ivey Business School with an HBA, after completing two years at Western University studying astrophysics. He joined Evans Investment Counsel in 2021 as an Investment Analyst focused on conducting fundamental analysis and generating research reports on individual securities. Parker later received his CFA designation in 2023 and has since been promoted to an Associate Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining Evans, Parker worked at Greenskeeper Asset Management conducting similar research, and Charity Intelligence Canada.

While in university, Parker was involved in student politics, holding a seat on Western University’s Board of Governors for two years and Senate for three years. In addition, Parker was an active member in Western’s Orientation Program as a Science Soph in his second year and Charity Soph in his third and fourth years. These days, in his free time he enjoys running, playing tennis, reading about psychology or astronomy, and engaging with his alma mater as a fellow in Ivey’s Sustainability Fellowship Program.

Michael is originally from Toronto but also spent many summers in Phoenix, Arizona when he was growing up. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and History from the University of Toronto in 2008 before switching direction and attaining an MBA from the Rotman School at the University of Toronto in 2016.  He has also successfully completed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst exams and holds the CFA designation. He joined the firm in 2023 following seven years as an analyst at another investment management firm in Toronto.

In what little free time he has as the father of three young children, he enjoys hockey, running and golf, as well as taking the kids to the park. He also likes to cook and is especially fond of rustling up pizza or some steak tacos.

Nico joined Evans Investment Counsel in 2012 following stints at two wealth management firms—where he constructed client portfolios from his considerable knowledge of US, Canadian, and global securities—and two investment banks, Merrill Lynch in Toronto and J.P. Morgan in New York City. With a BA from Princeton University and a MBA in Finance from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, Nico’s in-depth research on global securities assists the team in finding investment opportunities that could bring clients superior returns.

Nico was born in Hamilton and now that he has settled in Toronto he enjoys watching and cheering for the Raptors, Leafs, and Blue Jays, playing tennis and golf, and supporting his three boys as they grow and flourish. He is a card-carrying vegetarian but occasionally pops into Burger King again now that they have the Impossible Whopper.

In 2010, Mike joined Evans Investment Counsel as a summer student and never looked back. He was hired as a full-time Research Analyst after attaining a BBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University in early 2012. He later received his CFA designation in 2015 and has since been promoted to Portfolio Manager.

After work he enjoys spending time with his wife Grace and their daughter, Penny, either cheering on our Toronto sports teams, skiing the Georgian Peaks, or hiking the Bruce Trail.

Don joined Evans Investment Counsel in 1995, fresh out of the University of Windsor from which he received his BComm and MBA. He also holds a diploma in Computer Programming and Systems Analysis from the Institute of Computer Studies and is a CFA Charterholder. In addition to acting as a portfolio manager, Don conducts equity and fixed income research and oversees the firm’s traders.

Don has a myriad of hobbies outside of work and he pursues them all to the fullest, whether it is fly fishing in remote locations such as Labrador, South Caicos and Alaska, smoking an entire brisket in his beloved Big Green Egg, making strawberry and raspberry jam from scratch every year, or constantly being on the prowl for some more rock, blues or jazz vinyl to add to his extensive collection.

In 1988, Rob established Robert Evans Investment Counsel (now known as Evans Investment Counsel) and has made building the firm his life’s work. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA in Finance from the Schulich School of Business at York University. He is also a CFA Charterholder. Word of mouth, client loyalty and performance through all types of market conditions are all contributing factors to the steady growth the company and Rob’s client roster have experienced over thirty years.

The proud father of three, Rob has been fortunate enough to travel to places as far flung as Thailand, South Africa and Portugal, and enjoys golfing no matter where he is.
